What's Been On My Nails:Fall Edition

I love fall; it's one of my favourite times of the year, and I especially love bringing out all of my fall nail colours. I wanted to break out my fall nail polishes the second September hit but I tried to patiently wait for the weather to cool down and fall to actually arrive before I did. So these are what I have been wearing on my nails for about the last 6 weeks.

The first Polish is Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear in Pacific Blue. I can't believe I didn't own this sooner. I saw Lindsey or Beautybaby44 on youtube wear this and I had to own it. Its the most beautiful colbat blue; which is perfect because its on trend for Fall/Winter this year. It applied amazing as well. I could have gotten away with one coat but did two just to be safe. Its also a bargain at around $2.50 in most drugstores.

The next colour is China Glaze's Unpredictable. This is a shade that is everywhere now and most brands have it. I fell in love with this colour when I saw O.P.I's Just Spotted the Lizard from their Spiderman collection last year. I found this in Sally's Beauty and didn't hesitate bringing it home with me.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in Steel Grey was my next choice for a Fall polish. I bought this last winter and didn't wear it until I few weeks ago. I was really unsure whether I would like this colour since I don't tend to gravitate towards brown tones polishes. However, this turned out so beautifully. I also love the brushes on the Rimmel polishes because of how big they are. I know some don't like them but I find they make it quicker to paint my nails.

I stuck with the more grey colours and painted my nails with O.P.I's Nein Nein Nein from their Germany collection last year. This is a deep grey colour and in darker lighting can almost look black. It took a couple coats to get an fully opaque colour but it wasn't streaky at all. This is a great polish when I want to think about what to put on my nails.

I decided to switch it up and wear a brighter colour so I wore a Revlon polish in Bewitching. I love berry colours in the fall. This is a great alternative to wearing red; which I want to save until closer to Christmas time. For those of you who don't like super dark colours this is a great polish that is still bright but in the colour pallet of fall.

Currently on my nails I have Revlon's Fashionista. I've been loving bluey-green colours recently; I've been eyeing up Sallen Hansen's new collection for their Complete Manicure line that is almost all blue-green polishs. I picked this up at the same time I got Bewitching. This has a lot more green in it than it is blue but I love this colour. The application on this one wasn't as good as Bewitching but I was still able to get a opque colour in three coats.

Thats what I've been loving on my nails recently, what have you been loving on your nails?

NOTD: China Glaze Glistening Snow

I absolutely love glitter nail polishes and this one has been one of my favourites for winter. I wore this polish on New Years Eve this year as well. I got it in a Christmas gift set with this polish, a similar gold glitter polish and a shot glass.

China Glaze Haul

I went a little bit crazy this week with buying nail polish because Sally's Beauty Supply had 3 for 2 nail polish for China Glaze and I couldn't resist. I ended up picking up 12 bottles in total.

Nails of the Week: Blue Collar

Orly- Blue Collar
I've been on the hunt for the perfect blue nail polish for Spring for a while now and I think I've finally found it. When I went into Sally's Beauty Supply to kill some time I didn't think I would walk out with this amazing color.

Nails of the Week: Snow-man of My Dreams

You can never own too many sparkly nail polish. This applies to this one as well. So when I spotted this at Shopper Drug Mart for $6 I didn't think twice. Its from the Nicole by O.P.I holiday collection and when these first came out I didn't pay too much attention to them but because it was one sale I couldn't resist. This reminded me a lot of my Rainbow in the S-Kylie from the Kardashian collection but with a more blue color rather than silver and smaller glitter.

Nails of the Week: Green With Envy

I love bright colors for Spring so when I saw this color I had to try it. Normally I'm not drawn to green, but there is something about this shade that I just love. When I saw this color I thought of Shrek.

Nails Of The Week: Marine Blue

I've become obsessed with blue nails for spring. I've see so many great colors come out in spring collections that I can't wait to buy. Plus its one color that my collection is lacking. So when Shopper Drug Mart had these Rimmel nail polishes on sale I couldn't resisted picking up a bottle.

Nails Of The Week: Raspberry Rapture

I haven't painted my nails in a couple of weeks because they have been very weak lately and keep peeling so I decided to give them a break for a little bit. Finally they started to cooperate and because the weather has been so up and down lately between warm and freezing, raining and snowing, I needed to have some kind of brightness in my day. This is probably one of my favorite nail polishes ever. It's a really bright pink color that I got a couple of years ago and fell in love with it.

Nails Of The Week: Ashy Grey

I had never tried GOSH nail polish before but they had a holiday set of the smaller Oh My GOSH nail polishes which seemed like a good way to try them out. The set had five nail polishes in it and this is the color 017 Ashy Grey. I really love grey nail polish for winter because it is a darker neutral but not too dark.

With two coats I got a opaque finish, which is great because I always decide to do my nails last minute when I have to run.

This is the third color I've tried out of the set and so far I haven't been disappointed, hopefully the last two will follow the same path.

Nails Of The Week: Minted

When I bought this color I was on a quest to find colors that were a little softer than the normal bright and bold ones I normally wear. I'm not normally a fan of the color of green but this comes out as a pale green, almost baby blue looking. Depending on the lighting depends on the intensity of the color.

Nails Of The Week: Rainbow In The S-Kylie

There are two things you need to know about me, one I am a HUGE nail polish junkie, and two I can't resist anything sparkly. So yesterday being Sunday and Sunday being the day I change my nail colour every week lead me to believe that spotting this nail polish had to be fate. When I went to Shoppers Drug Mart I had no intentions on buying any new nail polish and even had this weeks colour picked out but when I spotted it I knew I couldn't leave without it.

Its called Rainbow In The S-Kylie from Nicole by O.P.I Kardashian Kolor collection. It is the opposite of subtle and as my friend describes it, looks like rainbow fish. Its perfect for the holiday season and I haven't been able to go anywhere without someone complimenting me on it, the grocery store, school, or work.

It has a clear colour base and different sized and coloured sparkles. I used three coats and got a really good finish on it. Next time I think I'll put a colour underneath it to see if I can add a little extra to it and give it more of a pop. It has turned out to be one of my favourite colours I own.
